Are you ready for another easy DIY card? This is the third and final card and video in my Easy DIY Valentine's Day Cards miniseries. But don't worry if you're a fan of card like this. I plan to do more of these card throughout this year as well. :)

This card design is all about the layers of color. Because there is quite a bit of watercoloring, I highly recommend using watercolor paper for the card base.

First, I started with a pale blue layer of watercolor in a cloud shape. After that completely dried, I painted colorful "blobs" for the flowers. Once again, I let that dry. Then I drew black line flowers over the colorful flower "blobs."

A simple "Love You" greeting finished off the card.

Are you ready for another DIY Valentine's Day card? I'm breaking out the inexpensive Crayola Watercolors again and creating another Valentine's Day card from scratch! :)

The main technique for this card is creating the watercolor plaid background. I used Canson XL watercolor paper, which is fairly inexpensive and available at many stores. I think Walmart even carries it!

The black portions of the card were created with a Sharpie marker. If you have black paper or cardstock to use for the greeting, you could definitely do that as well.

Hello, all! Today's card idea and video is a DIY Valentine's Day card using minimal supplies. In fact, this is the first of three videos like this that I have planned. There will be two more DIY Valentine's Day cards in the coming weeks.

You'll want to use watercolor paper to create this card. I've really been liking Canson XL watercolor paper and it's an inexpensive paper that can sometimes be found in stores like Walmart. If you can't get a hold of some watercolor paper, try to use the thickest cardstock or paper that you can.

I masked off the four squares using blue painter's tape, and then watercolored using washable watercolor paints from Crayola. To finish off the card, I drew a gold heart using a Pilot paint marker in gold.

NAIL POLISH: Dior Sailor

Happy Monday, all! It's been a while since I showed you all a card kit from Simon Says Stamp, so today's video is some additional inspiration using the August 2017 Card Kit. I'm keeping it to just contents from the kit to create today's card, plus a few extra tools and ink. :)

I created the card base out of the Slate cardstock included in the kit, and then adhered a triangle patterned paper to the top left corner of the card. I used this diagonal line as the basis for all of the stamping.

One of the best techniques with Distress Oxide inks is stamping on dark surfaces. Most other inks do not show up on dark surfaces, but the pigment ink qualities of Distress Oxide ink allow it to show up well on darker surfaces. I stamped images from the You + Me stamp set in the kit using Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink.

After the Distress Oxide ink was dry, I stamped additional images using Simon Says Stamp Clear embossing ink. This sticky ink gave something for the Wow Cloud 9 glitter embossing glitter to cling to while I heat set it.

To finish off the card, I adhere one of the puff stickers to the top right corner of the card.
